Professor Mike Thompson from the University of Sydney will talk about the different species of Turtle in our area, why they are important to our river system and how they are under extreme threat.
- find out how you can help save our turtles through a citizen science research project using TurtleSAT
- learn how we can reduce the major threats to turtles, including controlling foxes
Sany Cummings, Senior NRM Officer with Natural Resources, SAMDB will talk about fox control from a local perspective.
Turtles are particularly active at this time of year and you are likely to see them out and about. Please come along and enjoy learning about these important animals and how we can help them.
