On-ground works The On-ground works program assists landholders to undertake significant land management change upon predominantly agricultural properties in dryland farming areas. Works undertaken by landholders include protection and enhancement of remnant vegetation, revegetation using local native plant species to enhance regional biodiversity, improve agricultural sustainability and productivity, and to manage dryland salinity. Activities such as excluding stock from rivers and streams to protect riparian and aquatic habitats and improve water quality, and improving agricultural production techniques to minimise the impacts of agriculture upon the wider environment and improve agricultural sustainability and production are also undertaken by landholders.
